Mountain resort New Gudauri

A place located on a plateau between the mountains, where each day begins with a stunning view and continues with new emotions! There are modern apart-hotels, restaurants, bars, a supermarket, various shops, SPA centers, ski equipment rentals, an ice rink and much more necessary for comfortable living and recreation.

Gudauri is located 120 kilometers from Tbilisi, 85 km from Vladikavkaz (approximately 2-2.5 hours by car from both directions) at an altitude of 2196 meters above sea level. Cable cars operate for tourists in winter and summer - in winter from December to May, in summer - from July to September.

The lowest station of the cable car is located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, and the highest is at an altitude of 3258 meters above sea level.

A total of 18 cable cars that will not leave any guest indifferent!

Opening hours of the ski lifts during the season: 9:00 - 17:00 (time may change, check in advance)

In winter, 22 trails of varying difficulty with a total length of about 80 kilometers await you, which are suitable for both children and beginners, as well as professional athletes who hold international competitions here at the highest level. The longest descent is 7.5 km.

The main attraction of Gudauri is freeriding - descent through virgin fields. Deep snow cover, absence of rocks, avalanche danger make Gudauri a Mecca of freeriding. Also around the resort there are a huge number of off-piste descents for backcountry and heli-skiing.

The ski season in Gudauri lasts from the second half of December to May, during which time comfortable skiing is possible on all slopes.

In summer you can have a great time hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, riding various types of motorcycles and enjoying the wonderful clean mountain air and beautiful landscapes!

There are 14 lines of the Doppelmayr cable car (Austria) operating at the Gudauri ski resort:

PIRVELI, 6-seater cabins, open type. Start at an altitude of 2000 m. Drop 150 m, length - 1010 m

In summer, cable cars operate - from July 1 to mid-September. Gudaura, Kobi, Firni and Truso operate.

Opening hours: from 11.00 to 17.00 every day. Including for bicycles.

In Gudauri one trip - 15 lari, in Kobi (both ways) - 35 lari.

In winter from December to May, the start and end dates of the season are published by the Resort Administration based on the current snow conditions. Opening hours from 10:00 to 17:00.

Evening skiing on the first trail on Fridays and Saturdays from 20:00 to 22:00 (in winter season).
